Join the Movement

When I joined Beautycounter, I didn’t realize how much it would change my life.

I’m so inspired. Inspired by women empowering other women. Our team works hard. And we work even harder to cheer each other on. I had no idea I would be joining such a strong, motivated group of women. And in the short time I’ve been around them, I’ve noticed changes for the better in myself.

Not only does my skin look the best it ever has in my 29.75 years, my team has inspired me to share my journey with Beautycounter, healthy eating and exercise. I practice a morning routine that has changed my outlook on everyday. And my workouts have been more consistent.

When you surround yourself with people who strive to be the best versions of themselves, you get the itch to do it, too.

And here’s the best part…

The team wants to see me succeed and be the best version of myself because they truly care about my business, my health and my wellness.

And I want you to experience it. Joining my team would bring me so much joy because I could share this amazing business and team with you.

The products work. I’m living proof. But the real reason to join is to be part of the social mission to get safer products to everyone. And to surround yourself with likeminded people.

Now is the time to join my team. Be a part of this movement. This amazing culture of women.

Get products at a discount. Earn some extra income. Share the products and business with your friends and family. Be a light for demanding better beauty and personal care products. Become part of an amazing tribe of women who build each other up.

Navy Eyes

I posted this photo on my Instagram stories.

One day I’ll be brave enough to wear navy eyeshadow on my whole eyelid.

But for now I’ll keep it lighter with a little soft white.

I’ve been experimenting with the cool side of this palette.

Moonstone across the whole eye. Pewter in the crease. Lapis in the outer corners. Onyx on the lash line as eyeliner.

I feel pretty good about the end result.

You can’t really tell in the photos that the colors are in the blue family. But I’m always nervous when applying it (especially before work) that I’ll end up looking like MiMi off The Drew Carey Show.

Thankfully, I squeaked by yet again.

What are your go-to eyeshadow colors?

The Eyes Have It

Let me tell you a quick story.

Once upon a time when I was in six grade, I started wearing eyeshadow. And not just any eyeshadow, but a platinum silver eyeshadow. That was basically white. And I didn’t wear mascara. And my eyelashes were blonde. And dusted with white eyeshadow.

Basically, what I’m saying is it wasn’t pretty or cute. It was very sad.

Thankfully, I’ve graduated from those platinum eyeshadow days. And I’ve learned how to apply eyeshadow tastefully.

The Winter Jewels Palette from the Beautycounter Holiday Collection is absolutely gorgeous.

I’m so in love with the Rose Gold eyeshadow.

I put the rose gold on my eyelids. Swept a little garnet shadow in the crease. Lined my eyes with topaz. And put a little moonstone near my brow line and in the corners of my eyes.

I also swept a little sandstone and amber on my cheeks. And I always use the new Volumizing Mascara because it’s the best ever.

You can get the Winter Jewels Palette here.

It’s one special edition palette you want to have in your collection.

Transparency

My skin has always been an issue for me. Hormones reeked havoc on me from pre-teendom and well into my twenties.

I tried everything. I used the soaps recommended by dermatologists. I took medicine. I used creams. I have all the acne scars to prove I have it my best shot.

But nothing worked.

My Sephora makeup couldn’t cover up the blemishes on my face. I was super self conscious about my skin, and I never went bare faced in public.

And then my friend Heather started sharing her story about joining a beauty company that was different. They didn’t use harmful chemicals. They didn’t use known irritants. They didn’t use carcinogens. They didn’t use fake fragrance.

They worked to eliminate those things in their production of skin care and beauty products. And they advocate and lobby for better beauty and more transparency in the industry.

It sounded so good to me. And I trusted Heather. She wouldn’t be doing something that she didn’t absolutely believe in.

So I took a chance on a black bar of soap, a cream cleanser and a fragrance free moisturizer. And the rest was history for me.

Beautycounter has changed my life. It’s overhauled my skin. And it’s given me the confidence to be the person I know I am.
